I love Nico.

And I love Margot Tenenbaum.

And I completely forgot that 'These Days' was in this film... incroyable

Another good 'un of hers.

Whowhatwear.com love her too and have this handy little article should you wish to recreate her style... who wouldn't?
I've already committed myself to interrailing this summer (and I could not be more excited, seen as how I've never been to the East) but a trip to Thailand may be on the cards...

I am in need of some Vitamin D given the everlasting Winter we've been having here.

Fresh food, Sun, Swimming and Full Moon Parties!

I was going to go and see Leap Year for a laugh, but I'm having serious doubts thanks to Donald Clarke. Among other reviews I've read, there's been suggestions that Ireland should sue the filmmakers.
My biggest peeve is that her plane lands in Cardiff and she has to get a boat to Dingle to get to Dublin? Did anyone look at a map?!
Oh well, maybe some good will come of it... It's like a little Tourist advertisement. Except it advertises an Ireland in the 1800s.

This little film is nominated in the short animated category at this years Oscars.
Go on Ireland

I love Morrissey, even if he's meant to be an arsehole.

I've started listening to 80s music again (had to have a brief break after a massive 80s party last year when I was in charge of the playlist...way too much):

Yazoo - Nobody's Diary
The Smiths - Bigmouth Strikes Again
The Cure - In Between Days
New Order - Age Of Consent
Yazoo - Only You
Pixies - Debaser
Boy Meets Girl - Waiting For A Star To Fall

The last one always reminds me of this:

To fringe, or not to fringe

I desperately need a haircut... I realised today that it's been almost 8 months since I got it cut. So bad for my poor aul hair!
Right now, I'm trying to decide whether I should get a fringe or not.

Inspiration...

When they parlez-vous me, then I gotta confess that's for me...

Was going through some old Vogues the other day and found this in the July 05 issue. Beautiful!
I am rereading Brideshead Revisited for the... umpteenth time.
It's such a beautiful written book and
the TV adaptation (narrated by Jeremy Irons as Charles) was INCREDIBLE!
I can't recommend it enough.
It's about Charles Ryder and his relationship with Sebastian Flyte (and his family),
a classmate he meets at Oxford.
It spans about 40 years, post-war to late 70s/early 80s.
If you haven't already done so, READ! Then watch!
But steer clear of the film, which I'm told is a dreadful remake.
I can't wait to be in Jardin des Tuileries.

This is SO adorable, bless his little socks.

I already have The September Issue on DVD, but now I want this one with all the extra footage... of course it's only available on Region 1.
Nutella slathered on a baguette...
easter can't come quick enough

Audrey & Paris

Craving watermelon flavoured things

Edie & Pats

Current Eye Candy... But do NOT go and see Valentine's Day.
It is, without a doubt, one of the worst films I've ever sat through. Awful!

20 February, 2010

I am officially giving up vodka.

Though I'd like to think vodka for making the following hungover activities possible

-Leafing through old Vogues (I found one from 2004 with ScarJo!)
-Making Lasagne
-Baking Brownies (can't eat chocolate but just as satisfying to make them)
-Googling places to go in Mainland Europe for interrailing
Doing all of the above whilst wearing a heart print onesie and listening to Beach House.

Drinks and Dancing tonight!
It's my half-birthday!

But more importantly it's my friends actual birthday.

Drinks
(I have an unhealthy obsession with MK+A)

Dancing (with slightly more clothes)

And probably 4am pizza (not pictured). Weee!

Getting ready tunes are my fave, tonight will be listening to this and this!

Fashion Photographer Terry Richardson has this fun little site where he posts photos, straight after they're taken (from what I can make out)!
Feeling very Spring-y today... despite the fact that it's fecking freezing.

This video always makes me want to go to San Francisco. Is it even set there? I don't know. And I've never been to the West Coast of the States but this is what I want it to be like!

18 February, 2010

An oldie but a goodie.

Oh Karl from Love Actually, you're such a heartbreaker.

Poor aul Nicole, went from Chanel no.5 to.... Schweppes?

Not even a day into and I'm already regretting giving stuff up for lent.

NO
Drinks from a certain coffee chain
Bread
Chocolate
Sweets

But on the plus side, I can't wait to break it on Easter morning in Parigi. I'll probably get sick from overeating but I don't care!

This song has been in my head all day. I love the little nod to Willy Wonka.

16 February, 2010

This looks cute.

Makes me want to cycle around Brooklyn wearing a little dress I have that's covered in sailboats.

I also want to see Valentine's Day... but am not so sure after reading this 'lovely' review.
Nothing better than a bit of Father Ted to cheer up a dreary Tuesday afternoon.

This episode never fails to make me laugh. I think Father Ted is one of those things you can watch over and over... kind of like 'Friends'.
Can't stop thinking about my upcoming trip to France! I'll be meeting an old American friend over there. Since she's never been to France I can't wait to act as her tour guide! Cheesy, but I love showing people around my Paris!
And because I'm 25 I can still avail of the 18-25 tarif which allows members of the EU in that age bracket to gain free entry to pretty much all the museums, score!

View from my old bedroom... I wish!

I've just spent the past hour on this little site, Do it in Paris. It's so cute!
Thanks Allie!

Oh no, the guy who sang My Sharona died. I was SO obsessed with this song when I first saw Reality Bites back in the day.

It's still one of my fave films... Winona's clothes, make-up, hair and man (Ethan Hawke, swoon) were so mid 90's. I miss the good aul days.

Trying to decide if I have a much needed early night... or stay up until 1am and watch the Marc Jacobs show live from NY Fashion Week.

OR

Cannot express my love for this cover!
The colours! The hat! It's perfect.
Now if only I could understand German.
Kind of obsessed with this film of late

MA inspired Christian Louboutins

Aside from the ending, MA had a nice little life.
