Happy Valentine's Day!

Regardless of my relationship status (single at the mo), I'm not mad on Valentine's Day but I do love a good love story.
This Feb 14th I'll be eating and drinking with all the single ladies.

Listening to this beaut of a man...

(nice & soppy eh?).

I picked up this tiny book of quotes en francais in a 2nd hand bookshop and it's got a section on amour.

This one caught my eye
"L'affection est un sentiment fade, c'est l'amour des gens tièdes" - Paul Léautaud

Roughly translated it means 'being fond of someone is a dull feeling, it's love for the halfhearted'.

And while I'm on the quotes, couldn't not post this one on Valentine's Day.

'Once upon a time there was a boy who loved a girl, and her laughter was a question he wanted to spend his whole life answering', from the gorgeous book The History of Love by Nicole Krauss.
