I'm going to Paris in less than two weeks (crutches or no crutches!) and have been drooling over everything on the city of lights.
I saw Midnight in Paris last week and it was divine. I think I need to see it again and actually pay attention to the plot this time, I was just gazing at the beautiful scenery in the background.

I won't lie when I say my heart hurt a little bit watching this film, but I shall see my lovely city so soon!

I haven't been to Paris in 14 months!
I think a trip is in order.

I'll definitely be heading to Musée D'Orsay to see this.




I'll indulge in an Ispahan in Ladurée... And maybe some chocolat chaud in Angelina


and I'll probably laze in the autumn sun in Parc Montsouris.

I've definitely got a case of the January Blues.
The only cure for this is tea, a mammoth book (Skippy Dies),
and copious episodes of Downton Abbey (obsessed).

And, whenever I feel blue I delve into my 'Paris' folder.
Admittedly it makes me a little sad that I'm not there right now,
but it's nearly Spring and I can feel a trip coming up at some point in 2011.

The week I arrived in Paris happened to coincide with the death of Monsieur Yves Saint Laurent.


So in the middle of moving into my apartment, and settling in to Parisian life, I popped down to the church where the funeral was being held. They closed off a good bit of Faubourg St Honoré and there was a massive crowd outside. It felt like anyone important in Paris was there, including Sarkozy and the missus, aswell as all the Fashion heads you'd expect.

His partner Pierre Bergé delivered the most moving eulogy and it was followed by a montage over which this song was played. SUCH a beautiful song!! I love Jacques Brel.

Now there's a film out chronicling their (Yves&Pierre) relationship... I hope it comes out here soon. Looks amazing.

I love when the French do this...

The most famous avenue in France (Europe?) has changed this weekend!

Half of the Champs Élysées is covered in plants and farm animals.

Apparently farmers wanted to promote their trade.

Anyway,

It's Paris Fashion Week, and I wish I was in the city of lights.

Vogue has taken over the beautiful bar of the Hotel Crillon and has its' own menu full of cocktails named after models! There's even food!

Everything is booked and I will be in PARIS in just 33 days!

It's been 7 months since I was there.


To say I'm excited would be a massive understatement.

When they parlez-vous me, then I gotta confess that's for me...
