Going to see The Hangover 2 tonight!
(EDIT: Saw it and it's not up to much)

Can't wait to see Bradley Cooper's sea-blue eyes.
And Zach Galifianakis is hilarious.

PS. The french for hangover is 'La gueule de bois'.
So that's what the film is called in France, right?
You'd think that.
It's actually called 'Very Bad Trip'.

It's almost as good as the translation for the 'Step Up' films,
which are aptly (or not) called 'Sexy Dance'.

Oh L'Académie française.

I'm going to assume that everyone has heard the new Strokes'
material, but just in case you haven't, here you go!

I've never seen them in concert, but I did see the beautiful
Julian in 2009 and oh. my. god. The man is amazing.

They haven't announced any tour dates here yet, but they've just said that they'll be doing a free show at this years SXSW. Unfortunately for me, it's in Texas! So if you live in Texas and you happen to be reading this, then go! (I know Texas is like 5 times the size of Ireland, but it's The Strokes, so make an effort!)

I'm actually obsessed with talking about the weather. BUT right now it's horrible! verrry windy, and lashing rain. And all the election posters are flying all over the place.

Anyway, tonight I'm going to be a good daughter and am cooking a roast for my Mum. And we're going to watch It's Complicated. Nancy Meyers makes perfect films for Mothers & Daughters, at least I think so! John Krasinski for me, and Alec Baldwin for me Ma (and me too, maybe).

I didn't see it because I was fast asleep, but apparently Jake took Jenny Lewis to the Golden Globes last night? Which of course means that they're an item.

While I approve of this pairing far more than his previous one (and I know I'm not the only one), has everyone neglected the fact that she has a boyfriend (as far as I'm aware) with whom she recently made an album?

Saw 'Blue Valentine' this evening...

Ryan & Michelle are incredible in it,
but my goodness I found it depressing.
It'd seriously put you off marriage for life!

Ryan Gosling is in a league of his own though,
quel freakin homme.

I feel a viewing of 'The Notebook' coming on...

I want to go to Pacey-Con!

04 January, 2011

January is so perfect for hibernating in a good book, or going to the cinema.

Since I've got the books covered, I was looking at some
trailers and there's lots of great films coming out!

Verrry excited for The Kings Speech

The Coen brothers remake of the old western True Grit

Not entirely sure what this one's about but it's got the 'biutiful'
Javier Bardem speaking Spanish, that's enough for me. Biutiful

Jake, take me now. Love and Other Drugs

Ryan Gosling & Michelle Williams look pretty perfect together. Blue Valentine

This looks incredible, but scary... Black Swan

Beautiful!!

Hoping to get a glimpse of these two in Toronto.

...Another video

Jake can do no wrong, but I have a huge problem with Anne's hair.

15 June, 2010

Ewan McGregor,
Grace Coddington,

Natalie Vodianova!
Yep, another lovely shoot styled by the fabulous Coddington.

This almost makes me want to hand over the €7 for Vogue US.
BUT it's too much.

Love her hair too.

Oh Ewan. You are the best.

see the whole shoot at fashion gone rogue

Ryan Gosling never disappoints

He's in a new film called 'Blue Valentine'.
And apparently, he's dating his co-star Michelle Williams (how gorgeous is her hair/outfit?).

I didn't think I'd be happy with him dating someone other than Rachel McAdams
(
watch this vid, if you haven't already seen it), but they're cute together.

He is such a beaut...
wearing red

and pea coating it.

Jake is scared of Ostriches too!!

I knew I liked Jakey for a reason (other than his cuteness of course).

Last week he revealed his fear of the long necked bird...
I totally empathise. Along with Llamas, ostriches are one
of the few animals I am petrified of.

Every time I tell someone this, I get the old 'Ah no, but
they're so cute... They have huge eyes... How can you hate them...'.
Now I finally have someone who shares my fear. If only we
were friends, we could discuss it over a bottle of wine.

Look how great he is:

With his super cool Sis

Sigh.

And building some sort of igloo with Zooey D

Brilliant.

I am aware of the oddness of this post, I think it's
the lack of cheese getting to me... It's been 8 days.

So hot... but Keith Urban? No, thanks.

And I don't really get the Matthew McConaughey thing.
However I do get Patrick Dempsey! John Krasinksi! Ethan Hawke!

23 March, 2010

I love Romain Duris! He's been in so many films, hard to pick out my faves but voila:

His very first film with Cedric Kaplisch - Le Peril Jeune

L'Auberge Espagnole (THE erasmus film)

Les Poupées Russes (sequel to l'auberge)

Paris - SO lovely. Et avec la belle Mélanie Laurent.

His hair! Incroyable.

Quel Homme.

11 March, 2010

I watched Atonement for the first time in ages last night.

It's always been ruined for me after someone revealed a pretty big plotline as I was watching it for the first time!!! RAGE!

But the beauty of it, never gets old. I am not Ms Knightly's biggest fan but I adore her in this film.

THAT dress!

Okay this isn't him in the film, but he is hot to trot.

06 February, 2010

Ah! I love this film so!

What could be better than McDreamy... Nothing right?
(Two pictures is unnecessary but his hair)
WRONG.
European McDreamy. The beautiful French Guillaume Canet is a dead ringer for Mr Dempsey.

AND, he's going out with (engaged to?) Marion Cottillard.
He used to be married to Diane Kruger. Beautiful People.
