Miranda is a hilarious English comedy that I've been watching lately.

It's obvious, old-fashioned humour and it's so easy to watch.
Gary is a nice bit of eye candy too.

I think all the episode are on youtube, it's definitely worth a look!

And, this is so funny.
I think she's a character on Saturday Night Live, but I can only find three of the skits.
Kristen Wiig is brilliant!
'Actually I'm big nuts, I live in a nut'

I'm having massive Downton Abbey withdrawal symptoms. Apparently they've started filming the second series, but it won't be on until September! Too long!

If you haven't seen it, and are also missing Downton, might I suggest you watch (and read!) Brideshead Revisted. It's probably my favourite Period Drama.

You can watch the whole thing on YouTube,
here's the first part.

Happy Viewing!

Keeping with today's theme...

The first kiss.
To say I was ecstatic when I first watched this episode, would be an understatement.
Pacey & Joey! Finally.
And it's as good now as it was 11 (11?!) years ago.

Sigh. The only thing I can say is, really,
who would pick Andie MacDowell over Kristen Scott Thomas?

Et bien sûr, Amélie et Nino.

Honestly, I could post about a thousand videos of my
favourite film romances but that wouldn't be fun for anyone!

Things I learned this weekend

1. Despite how good they taste, Long Island Iced Teas are not my friend...
2. One cannot watch too many episodes of 'The Good Wife'.

It's reallly cold again, perfect evening for cinema so I'm off to

watch Black Swan to see what all the fuss is about...

I'm scared!

08 January, 2011

I want to go to Pacey-Con!

07 January, 2011

Being an only child, me time is important.
I mean, I can't be by myself for tooo long, but I'm happy
to spend an evening in my own company.

And that's what I'm doing tonight.
Indian takeaway,
catching up on The Good Wife
and an episode or two of Downton Abbey.

Friday Night, yeaahh!

29 November, 2010

It really is beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

The toy show, which was one of the best yet, was followed by a night of THUNDERSNOW. Yes, there is such a thing. It rarely snows here, and we don't get much thunder so a combo of the two was a littttle odd.

Now everyone is being very Irish and talking about the weather non-stop (myself included). AND, it's meant to continue throughout the week with 25cm (twenty-five!) forecast for tonight! It makes everything look pretty which is great seen as how the country is f**ked in every other way.

This little dude was easily my fave on Friday. So sure of himself and not in a precocious way like some kids can be.

Tonight, I'm going to make some lasagne and FINALLY read 'Never Let Me Go' by the fire.

This is so great.

I was watching some of the first episodes of Glee and Rachel Berry is sooo tiny now. She wasn't ever big, but she is so skinny now. Not a pick on her. Hmmm.

Gleek

No more Glee for a while makes me a sad gleek.

18 May, 2010

As sad as I am that it's currently pissing rain
outside (IN THE MIDDLE OF MAY), tonight I'll be
staying in and watching movies (yay!). I got
Brideshead Revisted (2008 film) in the post today.

I refused to see it in the cinema, but I added it
to my ScreenClick list (hoping that I'd never
actually get it), and now the time has come!

Now, I love Matthew Goode...

But my heart will always belong to Jeremy Irons'

Charles Ryder
(that voice!)

If you haven't read this book - READ IT.
And then watch the 8-part mini series.
(I'm pretty sure the whole thing is on Youtube)

You will thank me for it, I promise

Outnumbered is my new comedy on telly.

It's about a family in London, the idea being that the (3) children
outnumber their parents. Mostly improvised, it follows their day to
day lives and I've heard that they just let the kids ramble on to get
the right scenes. It's subtle, but hilarious.

Little Karen is my fave, so cute!

Can't express my love enough for this show...

22 April, 2010

Glee!

I have had this song on repeat all afternoon.
SUCH a good cover! And, a great episode to boot.

23 February, 2010

I am rereading Brideshead Revisited for the... umpteenth time.
It's such a beautiful written book and
the TV adaptation (narrated by Jeremy Irons as Charles) was INCREDIBLE!
I can't recommend it enough.
It's about Charles Ryder and his relationship with Sebastian Flyte (and his family),
a classmate he meets at Oxford.
It spans about 40 years, post-war to late 70s/early 80s.
If you haven't already done so, READ! Then watch!
But steer clear of the film, which I'm told is a dreadful remake.

08 February, 2010

I stopped watching America's Next Top Model a few years ago but am definitely going to start again because.... André Leon Talley is replacing Miss J as a judge! So exciting!

And if that's not reason enough, Tyra has said she is going for clean anc chic! No more crazy!

08 December, 2009

This little fella was on the Late Late Toy Show and now someone has remixed his thoughts into a song.

I hope to God that this gets released and is number 1 for Christmas! It would be amazing!!
